About Oaklands Productions in Nunawading
Oaklands Productions was established in 1996 and has been operating recording studio in Melbourne ever since. We have a new state of the art recording facility designed by Graham Thirkell, featuring an orchestral room capable of holding 65 musicians and a Yamaha C7 concert grand piano.
Our spacious Control Room A features a 128 channel Harrison Series 10 Console with Flying Faders and full automation and a 96 I/O Pro Tools v10 HDX system running on an 8 core Mac Pro.
Our Recording Studio A main tracking space is a purpose designed room for recording large ensembles and features a permanently flown Decca Tree mic setup using Neumann microphones.
We have a selection of recording booths, edit suites, preproduction spaces as well as a kitchen and lounge area for relaxing.
Studio A has been getting a workout as a film studio in recent months. There is permanent video lighting set up, a boom crane jib and we now have a green screen for video compositing with live chroma keying.
Our recent work has included recording and mixing the music for many new Australian films and documentaries as well as TV ads and countless album releases.
Alongside our studio work, Oaklands provides solutions for all kinds of events. We have a comprehensive live sound, lighting, vision and staging equipment and can cater to any production need. We offer camera hire and also other services like wedding videography and corporate video production.
